Series of video/audio collages exploring the experience of performing language and narrative in voice and body. The pieces are based on the songs Surabaya Johnny (Kurt Weill), die Lotusblume and Und wüssten’s die Blumen die kleinen (Robert Schumann, poems by Heinrich Heine). The cut is used to alienate, empathize, and reconfigure the language of the songs.
