Substation Sound Show
August 2024
Substation Sound Show was a pop-up gallery exhibition and performances in the historic substation of Richmond's Carver neighborhood. Visitors were invited to engage various modes of listening within the building's visually dramatic architecture, through intimate works, spatial installations, and live performances. Pictured here is the listening room, featuring 10 sound pieces for specifically for headphones from artists from Virginia, NY, and Chicago.
